Kilcloon Community Centre CLG, a local registered charity based in Kilcloon, aspire to enhance and improve the thriving community of Kilcloon, Co. Meath by; not only providing the community with a purpose-built community centre, but by also giving local members of the village an opportunity to build a home at the heart of the community.
The proposed development will consist of the construction of a single storey community centre incorporating an assembly hall, changing facilities, meeting rooms, youth room, entrance area, toilets, car parking and all ancillary site development works; outline permission for the construction of 13 single dwellings and the construction of an internal access road and associated services, as well as the provision of two village squares and green space on a greenfield site ocated at Ballynare Cross, Harristown, Kilcloon; a prominent site opposite the Kilcloon Parish Church and the Kilcloon Millennium Garden.
The community centre building aims to be in keeping with the local context, a complimentary form to the existing landmark church building. The proposed centre and the proposed public space provided by the development will create a new and exciting focal point for the area.
