Planning permission has recently been granted for a change of use application to restore an old farmyard in Magheracloone into a private dwelling. The farmyard is part of a traditional vernacular Monaghan farm holding dating back to the early 1800s and comprises a cottage and outbuildings arranged around a rectangular courtyard. Repair works are currently underway to save the former calf sheds. These photographs were taken from a site visit at the end of April on a sunny spring day which was organised to plan the next stage of this beautiful, complex and historic project.
