
Planning permission has recently been granted fora change of use application to restore an old farmyard in Magheracloone into aprivate dwelling. The farmyard is part of a traditional vernacular Monaghanfarm holding dating back to the early 1800s and comprises a cottage andoutbuildings arranged around a rectangular courtyard. Repair works arecurrently underway to save the former calf sheds. These photographs were takenfrom a site visit at the end of April on a sunny spring day which was organisedto plan the next stage of this beautiful, complex and historic project.
