Dekton Facades CPD

August 1, 2025

At McKevitt King Architects, we are committed to maintaining the highest professional standards through ongoing learning and development. As part of our continued focus on innovation and sustainable design, we recently hosted a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) session on the Dekton façade system by Cosentino.

The session provided a detailed insight into Dekton’s ultra-compact surface technology - a material known for its exceptional durability, resistance to UV rays, thermal shock, and minimal maintenance requirements. As architects, staying informed about the latest advancements in materials is essential to delivering high-quality, long-lasting, and efficient building envelopes.

Cosentino’s presentation covered not only the technical aspects and performance benefits of the Dekton façade system, but also its aesthetic flexibility and potential applications across a range of project types. The CPD also touched on sustainability credentials, including Dekton's carbon neutrality and recyclability — aligning well with our practice’s ethos of environmentally responsible design.

Our team values these opportunities to engage directly with product specialists and manufacturers, ensuring we’re well-equipped to advise clients and apply best practice across all stages of a project.

CPD is a core part of our studio culture, and we’re always looking to deepen our knowledge and stay ahead in a rapidly evolving construction landscape.
