Meath House Photographed

We recently photographed a beautiful house extension and refurbishment in county Meath. Click here to see the finial finished images and more details of the project.

'A modern linear extension to the rear of an existing two-storey house forms an L-shape arrangement. The main room in the extension contains a kitchen, living & dining space which is flanked on both sides with large glazed doors & windows to bring in the natural light and connect with the exterior. The rich landscape complements and enhances the building. A palate of contemporary materials & colours is used to rejuvenate the entire building: zinc, cedar, concrete, etc.. The courtyard to the side of the house enjoys a large porcelain patio with a fire pit in the centre, with vibrant flowers and plants surrounding it. Crisp contemporary finishes include an eye-catching staircase of steel, timber & glass. The entrance hall also enjoys an abundance of natural light from the glazed door screen and roof-light above. The floor plan benefits from an axial corridor which brings you and your view from the front door down through the house into the new space and back out again. The open plan is finished with an attractive inset stove and a state-of-the-art kitchen. A beautiful project in a beautiful setting.'
