CPD - Continuing Professional Development

As a practice McKevitt Architects are constantly looking at ways of expanding knowledge, reviewing systems and improving operations to enhance the service we provide. We recognise that it is of critical importance to keep informed of advancements in technology, regulations and legislation as these areas undergo constant change.

Individually the staff maintain their own CPD standards in line with RIAI requirements by attending courses, seminars, events, tours, etc.

The practice is proactive is arranging small scale CPD sessions from suppliers/ manufacturers/specifiers. On average the office would have small in-house seminars once a month. So far in 2018 we have had many lunchtime CPDs on subjects such as PV Cells, Heat Pump technology, rigid insulation, conservation plastering, permeable paving, flat roof systems, etc.

In terms of professional development the practice is currently upskilling in a number of specific areas such as Fire Safety, Conservation, NZEB, PSDP and BIM.
